Spatial Gallery redesign lands in Artyx

This release gives the workspace a big visual refresh, with a cleaner Canvas and Chat layout, a more polished settings window, and easier-to-scan chat results. It also adds clearer multi-agent run feedback, improves plugin setup, and makes switching between Canvas and Chat much faster.

What’s new

  1. Fresh workspace layout

    The whole workspace has been rearranged to feel cleaner and more visual. You’ll notice centered Canvas and Chat tabs, a simpler rail, a compact settings window, and bigger, more card-like chat results.

  2. Multi-agent runs are easier to follow

    Live agent lanes and team cards now show what the supervisor is doing at a glance. Subagent events also appear in the chat timeline, so you can see more of the run as it happens.

  3. Canvas and chat switch faster

    Switching between Canvas and Chat now feels much snappier. The app avoids extra redraws during the switch, which helps keep the workspace responsive.

  4. Chat and tool errors are clearer

    The assistant is less likely to get stuck when asking you a follow-up question, and missing tools now produce plain-language messages instead of confusing technical text. The assistant’s internal planning also stays out of your reply.

  5. Plugins install with less guesswork

    Plugin setup now gives clearer feedback when something is missing, and supports more flexible path and variable settings. Plugin logos, defaults, and post-install setup have also been polished.

Where to find it

    Open the workspace and look at the top bar.

    Canvas and Chat now sit in the center, with credits and zoom moved into the top area.

    Click the Canvas or Chat tabs to switch views.

    The switch should feel faster, and the active canvas should keep the correct zoom level.

    Open the left rail to browse your chats.

    Chats are now grouped into Pinned and Recents, and you’ll see a clear message if you reach the 5-open-chats limit.

    Open Settings from the workspace.

    Settings now appears as a centered modal, and it includes every section in a compact layout.

    Check the run status strip and chat timeline during an agent run.

    You’ll see live agent lanes, team cards, and subagent events appear as the run progresses.

    Open Plugins or the plugin catalog to install or adjust a plugin.

    You should now see clearer install messages, plugin logos, and post-install reconfigure options.
