Version v0.6.3

3D jobs land on canvas

This release adds async 3D generation jobs, so long-running model work can pause and resume on its own instead of leaving the chat stuck waiting. You also get a cleaner, more compact workspace with trackpad-friendly canvas controls and a Canvas/Chat toggle for tighter windows.

What’s new

  1. Generate 3D models as jobs

Artyx can now handle 3D creation as a background job. That means you can keep working while the model is being prepared, and the result will appear on the canvas when it is ready.

  2. Chat resumes automatically

When a 3D job finishes, the conversation picks back up on its own. You also get a clear “waiting” state while the work is running, so the chat does not feel stuck.

  3. Trackpad gestures on the canvas

Canvas navigation now follows normal trackpad gestures. The old Select and Pan buttons are gone, so panning and zooming should feel more natural on laptops.

  4. Switch between canvas and chat

A new view toggle lets you focus on the canvas or the chat area, which is especially helpful in smaller windows. On tight layouts, Artyx can fall back to a chat-only view automatically.

  5. Cleaner chat composer

The chat add menu is less cluttered now. The extra “Add file” row has been removed, making the composer easier to scan.

In the app

Where to find it

  1. 01

Open the canvas and start a 3D generation request from the agent chat.

The model will be handled as a background job instead of blocking the conversation.

  2. 02

Watch for the waiting card in the chat while the 3D work is running.

This shows that Artyx is still working and will continue automatically when the job settles.

  3. 03

Look at the canvas when the job finishes.

The generated 3D result should be placed there with progress and prompt context.

  4. 04

Use trackpad gestures to move around the canvas.

You no longer need the old Select/Pan toolbar buttons for basic navigation.

  5. 05

Use the Canvas/Chat view toggle when you need more space.

It helps you switch between the canvas and chat, and smaller windows may switch to chat-only automatically.
